Getting Started

WiRenko is a Renko bar type for NinjaTrader 8. You pick it in the chart's Data Series window, the same way as a built in bar type, and set Brick Size and Trend Threshold in ticks. It is free with a Wizdough account. See the WiRenko product page for example charts.

Requirements

WiRenko runs on NinjaTrader 8. It builds its bars from tick data, so it needs live, historical or Playback tick data for the instrument.

Download

1. Sign in or create a free account on wizdough.com and confirm your email.
2. Open your WiRenko download page and download the zip.

Install or update

1. In NinjaTrader's Control Center, open Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On... (NinjaTrader add-on installation guide).
2. Select the downloaded .zip file. If NinjaTrader asks whether to replace existing files, answer Yes.
3. Restart NinjaTrader if it asks you to.

Put WiRenko on a chart

1. Open a chart, or right click an existing one and select Data Series.
2. In the Type list, pick the WiRenko bar type. Its name there starts with Wizdough.
3. Set Brick Size and Trend Threshold in ticks. The defaults are 4 and 1.
4. Leave Strategy Analyzer mode: 2 at 1 on charts.
5. Click OK.

WiRenko loads 3 days of data by default. The chart label shows your settings: WiRenko 4/1 means Brick Size 4, Trend Threshold 1.
